The Sports & Recreation Division of Tamworth Regional Council oversees the operations and maintenance of over 70 parks, gardens and reserves, four lookouts, six public aquatic facilities, the Tamworth Sports Dome, over 40 sporting fields, three skate parks and the new Northern Inland Centre of Sporting Excellence.
The Division is experiencing significant growth and a great opportunity has arisen for diligent and enthusiastic individuals who are eager to learn and develop nationally accredited skills in Horticulture in a unique and diverse environment.
We currently have traineeships available in Tamworth and Manilla.
The successful applicants will need to possess a Higher School Certificate or a Record of School Achievement (previous School Certificate) as well as hold a current Driver Licence (P1 or P2 accepted).
A genuine interest in horticulture and the ability to work as part of a team is also essential.
This position has been classified in the training band with a salary range of $529.50 to $834.00 for a 38 hour week. Commencement salary is based on the age and qualifications of the successful applicant.
