About the Role
The Tamworth Hospital social work team is looking for a motivated early-career social worker to join our team to provide high quality clinical services to clients and their families across all areas of the hospital.

Where you’ll be working
Tamworth Hospital is one of the New England’s largest regional hospitals, recently refurbished to boast brand new, state of the art facilities. Tamworth Hospital is a major Rural Referral Hospital providing services to the North-West area of NSW. In July 2015, we opened the doors to a new $220 million acute services redevelopment; equipped with 348 treatment spaces; we conduct over 8000 surgical procedures per annum over five theatre spaces.

Tamworth is a modern progressive city set in a picturesque backdrop of tree covered mountains. To be eligible for employment in these roles you must be: an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or a citizen of another country with an appropriate visa that allows you to work in Australia.

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW. Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. Please provide proof of booster vaccination if available.
