About the Role:

  • The Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Catheterisation Lab (CCL) is responsible for providing excellent patient centred care and supporting the provision of angiography, electrophysiology and interventional cardiac care for patients in order to maximise the health outcomes for the community.
  • Individualised orientation will be provided, depending on experience, as well as a personalised education plan.
  • A transition to speciality practice program is available for interested candidates.

Where you’ll be working:

  • Tamworth Cardiac Catheterisation Lab runs a 4 day a week service. CCL has a dedicated 6 bed recovery unit and provides angiography, electrophysiology and interventional cardiac care for patients across the northern half of Hunter New England Health with more than 1000 separations each year.
  • The Cardiac Cath Lab unit sits adjacent to the Coronary Care Unit.
  • Opportunities exist for appropriately skilled staff to work across the Cardiac Services (CCU/Cath Lab) in a full time capacity.

About You:

  • You are a passionate, motivated, organised health professional who understands the complex care of cardiac patients, their families and carers.
  • You possess or commit to learning skills that are required to care for complex cardiac patients, ensuring that all aspects of nursing practice are consistent with quality standards of nursing care and work within the guidelines and responsibilities of the NSW Nurse Act, Health Policies of HNELHD.

Requirements:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.

Rural Incentives:
This vacancy is eligible for an Attraction and Relocation package that includes the following*:

  • Attraction incentive paid as a Rural and Regional fortnightly allowance of up to $10,000 in your first year
  • Retention incentive of up to $5,000 thereafter annually
  • PLUS 3 months accommodation assistance (e.g. rent payments, mortgage re-payments, payments for commercial accommodation)

  • All payments and reimbursements made to part time employees will be on a pro-rata basis.

Other forms of payment/package options (where you are eligible) need to be negotiated with the Convenor and may include**:

  • Additional annual professional development days (up to 5 more per year)
  • Additional personal leave (up to 5 more per year)
  • Computer/internet reimbursement (e.g. laptop, wi-fi costs)
  • Return airfare to and from your work base (or equivalent motor vehicle allowance) so you can still visit family and friends
