This vacancy is eligible for an Attraction and Relocation package that includes the following*:

Attraction incentive paid as a Rural and Regional fortnightly allowance of up to $10,000

for the first 12-
months

Retention incentive of up to $5,000 thereafter annually

PLUS 3 months accommodation

e.g.
rent payments, mortgage re-payments, payments for commercial accommodation)

All payments and reimbursements made to part time employees will be on a pro-rata basis.

Attraction incentives will be paid as a Rural and Regional fortnightly allowance on top of your base salary.

Additional annual professional development days (up to 5 more per year)

Additional personal leave (up to 5 more per year)

Computer/internet reimbursement (e.g. laptop, wi-fi costs)

About the job: HNELHD Clinical Governance is seeking an enthusiastic health professional to join the patient safety team as a patient safety officer. The Clinical Governance Team consists of 3 main portfolios – patient safety, quality systems, and health improvement. You will coordinate, monitor, investigate, and evaluate designated patient safety activities relating to incident management and mortality reviews.

Where you’ll be working: As the successful candidate, you will join the Clinical Governance Patient Safety Team located at Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital. Tamworth Hospital is a 280+ bed rural referral hospital north – west NSW.

You have a tertiary qualification or extensive recent clinical experience in an acute health care setting.
You are a highly motivated and organised person.
Your capacity to consult, negotiate, and network with managers, committees, all levels of staff, and across professional boundaries is one of your many strengths.
You have demonstrated experience with incident management and data analysis.
Ability to analyse and synthesise data, and use it to drive improvement through producing presentations, reports, and submissions.
Eligible to drive in NSW and capacity to undertake travel within HNE LHD.
