Operations Manager, People and Culture

It’s an exciting time to be joining TRC as we look to grow the city and surrounding areas to become a ‘regional hub’ in Northern NSW. This will be achieved by implementing projects and strategies that will accommodate industry growth and increased employment, water, sewer and social infrastructure, as well as health services, more education providers and recreational facilities. TRC has a futuristic vision for the region and we’re planning for the future now.
The Operations Manager, People and Culture role has been created as part of a number of exciting changes at Tamworth Regional Council. We are looking for someone who really wants to make a positive difference within our organisation and who has the passion to do so.
This role will play a critical part in the development and delivery of an extensive range of people programs, services and systems across the organisation. It will also evaluate and implement people policies and practices in line with the values of Tamworth Regional Council.
The People and Culture team currently deliver services in the areas of employee relations, recruitment, learning and development, organisational design, workforce planning and engagement – we are progressive and like to add some fun into what we do when we can. The team will continue to grow in line with the strategic priorities identified for our people and our organisation.
It is going to be a dynamic role with a variety of opportunities and challenges. You will be able to both demonstrate and develop your skills through managing a broad range of functions and collaborating with stakeholders.
Salary starting at $121,887 (inclusive of 10% Superannation) and is negotiable commensurate with skills and experience.
Flexible working arrangements will be considered by mutual agreement and according to operational requirements.
