About the role:
As the Handyperson you will be responsible for providing assistance to the trade staff in carrying out maintenance work to ensure an efficient and safe workplace. You will also assist trade staff in the repair and service of equipment and carry out planned and preventative maintenance on equipment, plant, machinery and facilities to ensure adequate and safe equipment is available. You will also perform the relevant duties that may be required by the Maintenance Manager or Deputy Maintenance Manager such as using the fork lift and pickup and delivery of goods and materials locally if required.

Working within the Maintenance Team at Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital, you will report to the Maintenance Manager, with hours of work predominately Monday to Friday 7.30am – 4.00pm with occasional overtime should the need arise. You will be supported in this role with a friendly team and training in a range of disciplines.

About you:
You are a highly motivated individual who is a genuine all-rounder or someone with a trades background, with the ability to assist trades staff with their tasks if required. You have basic to moderate level computer skills and a strong customer service focus. A current forklift licence is also required and qualifications in electrical test & tagging are highly regarded.
