About the Role
Tamworth Hospital currently has an exciting opportunity for a Sterilisation Technician to provide optimum sterilising services as required, with a commitment to adherence of infection control measures as stated in Australian Standard 4187, and the CSSD Procedure Manual under the supervision of the CSSD Supervisor. You will be responsible for daily reprocessing and return of Operating Suite and other hospital departments instrumentation. The successful candidate will be continuously assisted with support and orientation in the role will be provided by the Supervisor of CSD and Perioperative Nurse Manager. Educational opportunities are available and encouraged.

About You
Tamworth Hospital is currently looking for Central Sterilisation Department (CSD) technicians to join our CSD, we are looking for skilled, and nonskilled technician (on job training will be given) to join our dedicated team. We are looking for someone who can work independently with excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

An eligibility list will be created for future permanent part time and temporary part time vacancies.

To be eligible for employment in these roles you must be: an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or a citizen of another country with an appropriate visa that allows you to work in Australia. If you currently hold a temporary visa that allows you to live and work in Australia you may only be offered employment in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa.

All NSW Health workers are required to have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine by 30 September 2021 and two doses by 30 November 2021 or have an approved medical contraindication certificate. You will be required to provide a record of your COVID-19 vaccination status if successful.
