We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced treatment technician or someone who has practical experience operating an industrial process. In this role you will have the opportunity to contribute to the community by assisting in the operation of the treatment plants and associated reservoirs, booster station and sewer pumping stations to ensure that best quality drinking water is supplied and effluent meets the requirements of applicable legislation.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO
Assist in the operation and maintenance of Council’s Water and Sewerage Treatment Plants and undertake routine standard operation of Council’s Water and Sewerage treatment facilities including testing of water and effluent quality.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED
- Certificate III in Water Operations (Treatment) or equivalent trade based qualifications.
- Demonstrated ability to work safely and effectively as part of a team.
- General administrative skills demonstrating a competent level of literacy, numeracy and basic computer skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written.
- Have a high level of attention to detail.
You will have hands on experience working and operating with industrial processes. You will value the opportunity to work in a diverse multi-functional regional Council.
You have excellent communication skills and are a team player who continually looks for positive ways to contribute to team culture. You will have a commitment to on-going learning and will take on the challenge of obtaining a Certificate III in Water Operations (if required) within 2 years of employment.

Salary: $59,655-$69,329 per annum plus superannuation.
