The Department of Planning, Industry and Environment is currently seeking 5 x Senior Field Officers to undertake field property inspections and other compliance activities to support the achievement of regulatory objectives with the Natural Resources Access Regulator (NRAR). The Routine Monitoring program is designed to support landholders in understanding their obligations and to build our understanding of voluntary compliance rates and behaviours.
As a Senior Field Officer, you will meet landholders, provide education materials and conduct inspections against set criteria. You will conduct compliance activities in an effective, efficient and impartial manner, given the high volume and sensitive regulatory nature of the work. You will communicate effectively with landholders, ensuring the likelihood of compliance with water regulation.
Undertaking field work often in remote and rural parts of our beautiful state, you will thrive in a fast paced and high-volume role, honing your skills in interpreting and ensuring the correct application of legislation, policies and procedures. You will also effectively train new team members to achieve both quality and output measures, as well as assist with the updating and monitoring of internal systems to ensure operational functionality.
- Appointment is subject to the satisfactory participation in mandatory pre-employment probity screening
- Commitment and willingness to undertake high levels of travel to remote areas and safely undertake field work requirements of the role.
