Physiotherapist

  • Part Time – 24 hours per week
  • Lourdes Hospital and Community Health Service – Based in Dubbo

Lourdes Hospital and Community Health Service (Lourdes) Rehabilitation & Sub-Acute Hospital Managed by Catholic Healthcare in Dubbo. Lourdes has a long history of providing excellent care to the Dubbo and greater region community.

An opportunity currently exists for a Physiotherapist to join our dedicated team of Allied Health professionals. Your day will include provision of inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation including hydrotherapy.

To be considered for this great opportunity, you will possess the following;

  • Bachelor or Post Graduate Degree in Physiotherapy.
  • Current registration with AHPRA.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement evidence-based practice in common orthopaedic, neurological, cardio-pulmonary, surgical and age-related conditions.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to complete sensitive and responsive interactions with co-workers and patients/clients.
  • Demonstrated time management skills and the ability to prioritise
  • Demonstrated experience with multidisciplinary team working.
  • Effective time management skills to ensure patient intervention, reports and outcomes are achieved in a timely manner. Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and organise own work/caseload.
  • Commitment to continuing education and application of this knowledge
  • Understanding of the need for client centred care and quality improvement.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy with skills in computer applications
  • Demonstrated commitment to own professional development & learning
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Current NSW Health Vaccination Status – Category A.
  • Must be able to provide evidence of Covid19 immunisations
  • Current Driver’s licence

Desirable

  • Experience working with adult patients in rehabilitation and community settings.
  • Understanding of quality activities, WHS and infection control policies.
  • Experience/education/training in Aquatic Physiotherapy.
