Team Leader – Early Childhood Teacher


Permanent Part time – Minimum 3 days per week

A position is available for an experienced and motivated Teacher to lead our education programs and mentor staff.

Orana Early Childhood Intervention is a not-for-profit organisation and NDIS registered provider in Dubbo, providing a diverse range of services to babies and young children 0-12 years of age with developmental delays and or disabilities residing in Dubbo and the surrounding regional communities.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to:

·         Lead the Education and Family support team

·         Work with a diverse caseload on individual and group sessions and build Early Childhood sector capacity through additional funding streams

·         Participate in the development and delivery of presentations, workshops and resources

·         Participate in outreach service provision to regional towns, developing relationships with key stakeholders

·         Work collaboratively with a supportive team of allied health therapists and external service providers.

Essential Criteria:

Sound knowledge of ECEC services and systems and the National Quality Framework and how it relates to quality early childhood education and care
·         Experience and passion for working with children with a developmental delay and or disability, building family’s capacity, implementing family centred, strengths based and reflective practices

·         Demonstrated leadership, coaching or mentoring experience

·         Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team

·         Effective time management and prioritisation skills

·         High standard of written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

·         Experience supporting the inclusion of children with disability and additional needs within their natural environments i.e. education and care services, schools and their communities

Awareness of current ECEC programs and initiatives that support the inclusion of all children.

·         Awareness of National Quality and Safeguards Commission



·         Bachelor of Education ( Early Childhood)

·         Eligibility for registration with NESA

·         Current drivers’ licence

·         Current working with Children Check

·         Current NDIS Worker Check
