  • Temporary Full-time role until 30 June 2023
  • Salary starting from $99,000 pa + super

 

About our team 

The Department of Regional NSW was formed in 2020 as a central agency for regional issues. The Department is responsible for building resilient regional economies and communities, strengthening primary industries, managing the use of regional land, overseeing the state’s mineral and mining resources and ensuring government investment in regional NSW is fair and delivers positive outcomes for local communities and businesses.

This role sits in the Media, Communications and Engagement team within the Office of the Secretary. The team provides support to teams working out of various regional offices in NSW.

 

About the role (role description

In this role you will be responsible for coordinating and managing a range of media activities to support and engage communities and industries in regional NSW.

As a Media Advisor, you will be responsible for:

  • Researching and preparing media materials for key department stakeholders and organising media events and opportunities
  • Being aware of media issues and themes, identifying opportunities and providing advice

About you 

You will have a proven record of achievement in media management, including the planning and delivery of media opportunities and materials.

You will hold tertiary qualifications in communications/media/marketing or equivalent experience.

You will also have demonstrated experience maintaining stakeholder relationships.
