We are currently seeking a Finance Officer who has excellent attention to detail and is willing to learn and grow with Maverick to join our team in Dubbo, NSW.

Maverick have been established for over 20 years and are the leader in the customised delivery of animal derived biological material. Supplying globally, we create and manage customised supply chains for the Healthcare Industry.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this administrative role of Finance Officer will involve the following key tasks:

Weekly bank reconciliations and monthly corporate credit card reconciliations;
Review and maintain the Accounts Payable and Account Receivable ledger;
Reconcile creditor statements as required;
Liaise with creditors to resolve any inquires;
Provide accurate and timely processing of creditor and debtor invoices;
Process weekly payment runs and ad hoc payments when required;
Assist in the completion of end of month procedures;
Preparation of month end accruals;
Assist in developing and maintaining policies and procedures;
Management of foreign exchange contracts;
Preparation of KPI and operational reports;
Ad hoc tasks as required.

To be successful in the role you will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

Commercial acumen (preferably gained within a manufacturing environment)
Advanced Microsoft Office skills particularly Excel
Ability to work to timeframes, strong time management skills and ability to prioritise
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Strong technical accounting and relevant software skills (GP Dynamics (Microsoft) experience desirable)
Strong analytical and decision-making skills
Capable of working independently as well as in a team when required
High attention to detail and accuracy
Thrives under pressure
