We are Dubbo Regional Council, a large regional Council servicing a growing community of close to 55,000 people. With an operating expenditure budget of approximately $220 million, we have 600 team members working across a diverse range of areas including planning, infrastructure, community and cultural services, administration, economic development, corporate business and recreational services.

THE ROLE

The Manager People, Culture and Safety is responsible for proactively managing the delivery of Human Resource services, and providing advice and expertise on the following functions; Strategic Human Resource Management, Workforce Planning, Culture and Capability, Payroll, Recruitment, Performance Management, Learning and Development, Industrial Relations, Well-being, Workplace Health and Safety and Workers Compensation and Injury Management.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Provide high level strategic advice regarding organisational development, culture and workforce planning 
  • Develop people and culture programs to ensure the organisation has the capability to achieve its objectives 
  • Ensure the effective and efficient management of Human Resource Services
  • Provide specialist advice, guidance and support regarding legislative matters and industrial relations issues

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED:

  • Bachelor degree in Human Resource Management or related discipline
  • Extensive Human Resource Management experience at a senior level in the public and/or private sectors
  • Demonstrated ability to work in an industrial and consultative environment
  • Highly developed leadership, communication and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully leading organisational change
  • Demonstrated working experience and understanding of workforce planning processes

You are an experienced Human Resources professional, skilled in driving transformational change and delivering strategic solutions to support the organisation in achieving its objectives. You are an influential leader with the ability to drive engagement to build a culture of high performance and develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.

Salary: Total Remuneration Package $140,681-$190,334 per annum. A Leaseback vehicle available.
