We are Dubbo Regional Council, a large regional Council servicing a growing community of close to 55,000 people. With an operating expenditure budget of approximately $220 million, we have 600 team members working across a diverse range of areas including planning, infrastructure, community and cultural services, administration, economic development, corporate business and recreational services.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The IT Infrastructure Team Leader is responsible for the future planning and day to day operation of Council’s critical Information Technology Infrastructure. The IT Infrastructure Team Leader ensures that systems have sufficient capacity, connectivity, security controls, are correctly configured, and are fully operational to support Council’s line of business applications.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO

  • Provide infrastructure and operations management services to the organisation,
  • Investigating and resolving operational related incident and service requests allocated by the IT Support Team, and
  • Supervise and provide leadership to the IT infrastructure team.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED

  • Bachelor in Information Technology or related discipline, or solid experience in a similar role,
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and team leadership,
  • Demonstrated experience in supervising, guiding and monitoring staff to achieve objectives,
  • High level written and verbal communication skills and ability to write clear, concise and user friendly operational directions, notices and other forms of written material,
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN),
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in server, storage and related operating systems in a large organisation, and
  • Customer focused with the ability to understand the needs, objectives and constraints of business clients and users.

Salary: $92,186-$107,135 per annum plus superannuation
