About the role:
The Health and Security Assistant role is to provide a safe and secure environment whilst maintaining the security and safety of all staff, patients and visitors within Wellington Health Service facility. Assisting with the early identification, prevention and management of aggression and security related incidents which includes watching, guarding and / or protecting as directed including response to alarm signals and requests for attendance.

This is a targeted position in accordance with GSE Rule 26: Employment of eligible persons. Where you’ll be working:  
Wellington is the second oldest town west of the Blue Mountains and is located less than half an hour from the regional hub of Dubbo and just over an hour from the picturesque town of Orange in the state’s Central West.

Wellington Health Service is a 12-bed sub-acute facility and includes a 24-hour Emergency Department, Ambulatory Care services, Renal Dialysis, Methadone Clinic and weekly Dental services. All Emergency presentations are seen by a Visiting Medical Doctor on a 24 hour roster.

A range of allied health services operate from Wellington Health Service and a number of visiting services including Drug and Alcohol services and Psychiatry services also operate from the facility.
