We are Dubbo Regional Council, a large regional Council servicing a growing community of over 50,000 people. With an operating expenditure budget of approximately $200 million, we have 600 team members working across a diverse range of areas including planning, infrastructure, community and cultural services, administration, economic development, corporate business and recreational services.

The Opportunity

This position is responsible for providing high levels of customer service and administration support at the Dubbo Visitor Information Centre, focusing on the provision of accurate information about the Dubbo Region for visitors, investors, new residents and the community.

The position forms part of a seven day roster, weekends and public holiday availability are required as part of this role. The position is predominantly based at the Dubbo Visitor Information Centre, however regular travel to the Wellington Information Centre with a Council vehicle is required to cover team members leave.

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:

  • Demonstrated customer service experience
  • Ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Demonstrated ability to manage databases, collate data and produce accurate reports
  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake administration tasks including purchasing, sales, banking and mail

About you

You will be committed to providing a high level of customer service, be organised and self motivated.

Additionally, you will have excellent communication skills and experience in administration tasks. You will be a team player, who continually shows positive leadership and looks for positive ways to contribute to team culture.

Salary: $53,911 – $62,653 per annum, plus superannuation.
