The Construction & Commissioning Manager is the person to whom the Project Leader has delegated the day-to-day tasks of construction & commissioning management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the overall construction phase to ensure the Construction & commissioning is completed in a timely and cost effective manner.
  • Ensure the Construction is produced in conformance with the Principal’s Brief or other stated objectives.
  • Ensure that Construction & commissioning documentation is produced in accordance with the requirements of the Construction Management Plan and maintain records of compliance, where applicable.
  • Manage the overall Construction phase to ensure that the requirements of system engineering, systems safety, competency and quality assurance have been achieved.
  • Liaise with the Principal or their representative, as necessary.
  • Ensure that the construction is done based on sound construction methodologies.
  • Ensure that the workplace is managed correctly and according to the related plans.
  • Assess any necessary change in the design to achieve a constructible solution.
  • Plan and coordinate the procurement and construction team.
  • Review and endorse subcontractors’ construction invoices.


  • Proven work experience (5 years minimum) as Construction Manager in a large construction project is a must.
  • Proven Experience of 10 years in Engineering is a must.
  • Proven experience in maintenance equipment installation & commissioning.
  • Proven Knowledge of Railway technology.
  • Knowledge of construction methodologies and site management.
  • Experience with office management software like MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, specifically).
  • Strong organization skills with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Engineering Diploma.
  • BIM methodologies knowledge is a plus.
