Clinical Nurse Educator – Oncology

About the role:
Dubbo Health Service is now looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Clinical Nurse Educator to join the team and support the learning and development needs of nursing staff in the new Western Cancer Centre Dubbo. This role will cover both the treatment room and Radiation Oncology.
The Clinical Nurse Educator will deliver and evaluate clinical education programs to teams and individuals as well as promote an overall culture of learning and development within the unit. This position will also provide clinical leadership and role modelling to provide a collaborative approach to learning and development within the centre.
The Clinical Nurse Educator will work with nursing staff and mangers to identify individual and unit learning needs, and participate in the development and review of procedures and guidelines to provide education advice and expertise.
This is a permanent part time position. The successful applicant will bring energy and enthusiasm to the role, work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and will be pivotal to clinical education and training to support quality service delivery within the Western Cancer Centre Dubbo.

Dubbo Health Service is a part of the Western NSW Local Health District and a major rural referral hospital providing critical care, specialist medical inpatient and outpatient services, surgery, mental health and many specialized allied health and medical outreach services.
The Western Cancer Centre is a progressive unit providing holistic services to Western NSW and recently opened in Oct 2021. The centre provides expanded and upgraded clinical services including 16 Chemotherapy chairs, Radiotherapy services, and for the first time a Positron Emission Tomography – Computed Tomography (PET/CT) Scan for cancer diagnostics is available in a regional location.
