THE OPPORTUNITY

This role provides an opportunity to deliver a quality tourism experience in Customer Service, Hospitality and Tour Experience to all visitors to the Wellington Caves. You will also be responsible for ensuring the Wellington Caves Complex is presented at the highest quality ensuring efficiency and financial sustainability in the delivery.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO

  • Present interactive engaging guided tours of the Wellington Caves as scripted in a friendly and inclusive manner;
  • Ensure the site and Caves are presented at the highest quality;
  • Provide a quality cafe experience in service delivery of products offered through the Kiosk and/or Cafe; and
  • Ensure transactions are processed correctly and a receipt is produced and returned to the customer with correct change.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED

  • Working with Children Check
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Moderate computer skills and competency in the use of Microsoft based software packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Public speaking capability and/or previous Tour Guiding experience;
  • Ability to demonstrate a commitment and understanding to providing quality customer service; and
  • Demonstrated ability working within a team.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role you will thrive on providing high levels of customer service. You will enjoy engaging with visitors to the complex and have excellent communication skills. Additionally, you will value working within a challenging and diverse role. 

Salary:  $26.42 per hour, plus superannuation and 25% loading in lieu of all leave and severance pay. Penalty rates will apply to hours worked on a Saturday and Sunday.
