The Opportunity

The Aerodrome Reporting Officer position is to ensure safe, secure and efficient airside operations are maintained to a high standard supporting all stakeholders and airline partners by maintaining aerodrome serviceability.

In this role, you will have an opportunity to:

  • Provide assistance and report to the Manager to ensure the Dubbo City Regional Airport is compliant with CASA Manual of Standards part 139 (MOS 139) Aerodromes and other required legislation.
  • Deliver safe and compliant airside aerodrome facilities to Council through effective monitoring and maintenance of operations and adherence to aviation guidelines and procedures.
  • Monitor Obstacle Limitations Surfaces, Foreign object debris, bird hazards, apron serviceability, apron safety, apron traffic, aircraft push back, aircraft refuelling in consultation with NTL ground handling.
  • Monitor and review access to restricted areas, safe movement of vehicles and people in movement areas.
  • Assist with the enforcement, ensuring that Dubbo Regional Airport meets the requirements of the Transport Security Act 2004 in relation to carrying out passenger screening and checked Bag Screening (CBS) following the amendments to the Transport Security Act 2004.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Certificate III in Aviation, Aerodrome Operations (or ability to obtain within 12 months of employment in the position)

You will be a team player who looks for positive ways to contribute to team culture, have excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously, multitask and prioritise tasks.

Additionally, you will have knowledge and/or qualifications in general repairs and maintenance, well developed literacy and computer skills and value the opportunity to work in a fast paced regulatory environment.

Salary: $62,515 – $72,653 per annum plus superannuation.
