Your role

  • Assisting people to live as independently as possible in their own homes and in the community.
  • Assisting with personal care, such as showering, getting dressed, conduct daily tasks, and household chores such as laundry and cooking.
  • Providing social support to individuals with disabilities and those recovering from mental health disorders.
  • Assisting those with physical and psycho-social difficulties to stay independent in their own homes.
  • Assisting with light housework, such as vacuuming, mopping, and cleaning the kitchen and bathroom.
  • Help with cooking and doing dishes, planning meals, and grocery shopping.
  • Driving clients and running errands.
  • Help people get out and about in the community.
  • Help people get to and from appointments, fill out paperwork, and apply for other supports like social housing, employment, or other entitlements.
  • Keeping clients company, offering positive social support, and helping to build confidence.
  • Reviewing and revising care support plans.
  • Hanging out and creating plans to try new things.

MANDATORY Requirements (must have or commence process before applying):

  • Current 1st Aid Certificate & CPR
  • Covid-19 vaccination certificate
  • Drivers Licence + own vehicle or access to a vehicle to drive clients places and run errands
  • NDIS Supporting Effective Communication and Worker Orientation Modules (Free – Online)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Reliable, responsible attitude towards work (available at least 2-3 days each week)
  • Access to the internet for rosters and client reporting


  • Education or training in disability, mental health, or community services
  • Qualifications or studying towards Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology, Speech and Allied Health Assistants, or Community Services.

Salary: $29.00 – $39.00 per hour
