A fulltime flexible position is available for a dedicated individual to join our friendly team as an Accounts & Office Administrator in our workshop office.

Our progressive and busy Electrical Contracting business is based in Bathurst.

As the Accounts and Office Admin you will hold a pivotal position in maintaining the seamless operation of our business. Your responsibilities will encompass managing accounts payable and receivable, managing staff timesheets and providing essential support in office administration. This role offers an ideal opportunity for a well organised person with attention to detail and able to manage multiple tasks at once. We will be looking for someone who can work autonomously, knows how to prioritise important tasks and is happy working alone as our field staff are often out on the road.

Key Responsibilites

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable including invoice processing, contractors and supplier communications and payment scheduling
  • Handling phone enquiries, actioning emails, data entry
  • Admin related to Apprentices including government rebates and liaising with Apprenticeship providers
  • General office duties like filing, maintaing records, stationery supplies, keeping up to date with company vehicle registrations and all company insurances and licences
  • Work in consultation with our Projects Co-Ordinator who is based remotely as well as our external bookkeeper
  • Provide admin support to Management and other team members as required
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of efficient accounting and office procedures
  • Assist with month-end and year end financial closing processes as required

Your skills and experience

  • Prior experience in a similar role
  • Good relationship skills with strong verbal as well as written communication skills
  • Strong understanding of accounts procedures
  • Proficient in XERO/MYOB and Microsoft Office Word and Excel
  • Familiar with job managment system preferred but not essential (we use Simpro)
  • Accurate data entry and record keeping
  • Time management
