Our Store Managers set the standard for customer experience and lead the way to achieving operational excellence. This role is pivotal to implementing strategy and providing direction and empowerment to the store leadership team. Accountable for the financial success of the store, the Store Manager sets the direction, drives and fosters strong workplace culture, develops the leadership team and prioritises customers.

Supported by the management team, you will build productive relationships with the broader business, customers and local community.

Lead and support team members to achieve their potential and deliver business success. Strong retail knowledge and business acumen combined with inspirational leadership capability will ensure your success. 

About the Opportunity:

  • Set the direction for your store team by building specific store strategies in alignment with company wide strategies to achieve retail metrics 
  • Guide and evaluate execution of store strategies, adapting as needed to local requirements to meet the needs of customers and drive financial performance
  • Maximise customer insights and trends to create vision and strategy to delight customers through in-store experiences and signature services
  • Actively drive a high performance, customer focused, service and selling culture in alignment to Myer values
  • Lead, empower, coach and develop your leadership team to build organisational capability
  • Inspire your team to embrace and adapt to new ways of operating through effective communication and role modelling
  • Ensure the alignment of business structure and commitment of resources to enable execution of strategies and successfully develop the performance of the store leadership team 

About You:

  • Demonstrated success in leading and delivering strong financial results in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Strong, inspirational leadership capability to promote a culture of customer-centricity, resilience and continuous improvement
  • The ability to inspire others through creation and communication of vision, demonstrate personal commitment, passion and excitement to achieve business results
  • Retail management and merchandise expertise to drive and deliver superior customer experiences
  • Experienced in growing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external business partners and stakeholders
  • Understanding and promotion of safety, merchandising and service standards

Our Retail Managers work across key trading hours on a fortnightly rotating roster, including weekends and peak trading times.
