We are a respected, multi-disciplinary rehabilitation service catering to the unique needs of people with neurological conditions. With a team of over 230 people, we provide the most comprehensive allied health services in our sector with innovative rehabilitation centres across Melbourne, Geelong, Hobart and Albury along with an extensive home visiting and community-based service.

As the next enthusiastic Speech Pathologist at NeuroRehab, you will work closely with people with acquired neurological conditions (Stroke, TBI, & progressive conditions) and developmental disabilities (cerebral palsy, intellectual disability, and Autism Spectrum Disorder). Our Speech Pathology team work alongside other clinicians within our multi-disciplinary team to provide a holistic therapy service.

The role is challenging as no two days are the same (clinic and community-based services), yet, rewarding, and ideal for those looking to make an impact on people and their journey to independence. Our Speech Pathology department has a large focus on quality improvement, professional development, and innovation to ensure people receive a safe and high-quality service. Our Speech team in Albury currently run dysphagia clinics, has access to an in-house AAC consultancy service and provides clinic-based and community-based communication assessment and therapy.

Our clients are predominantly NDIS participants along with some TAC/LTC and My Aged Care-funded clients. You will help empower clients to live a life full of choice, inclusion and new possibilities! We are a Child Safe organisation and adhere to Victorian/New South Wales Child Safe regulations. Your caseload will be tailored to your interests or experiences (neurological or disability or mixed).

– Management – Interests in leading and managing a team of therapists
– Education – Interests in students/supervision and in-service preparations 
– Clinical Passion – becoming an expert in a specific treatment technique/s  

We’re looking for –

An enthusiastic and energetic clinician who has full-time availability, however, part-time applications looking for school-friendly or flexible hours are also encouraged to apply. Your working hours are negotiated directly with clients, allowing excellent flexibility and the ability to work from home as needed, providing a great work/life balance. The role will be based at our Albury clinic, and we have access to rooms in Wangaratta that can be used.

  • Base salary of $75k (37.95/hr) – $95k (48.08/hr) depending on experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Speech Pathology or equivalent and current membership with Speech Pathology Australia
  • 1+ years’ experience in Speech Pathology
  • Demonstrated commitment to person-centred approaches and best practices within the NDIS.
  • Driver’s license
  • Internet access to work-from-home.
  • Successful candidates are required to undertake a Police Check, Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening check.
  • Full Covid-19 vaccination and certification
  • Influenza vaccination

 

Desirable

  • Experience working with compensable and NDIS clients is highly desired but not essential!
