About us

Social Plus Support Work is a disability support service that provides support to individuals and groups in the Albury/Wodonga and surrounding regions. We offer an exceptional client-based support service that is tailored to each individual that offers maximum opportunity for developing valued and valuing lifestyles.

A bit about the role

  • Rostering and Scheduling Support Hours for Clients and Staff
  • Looking after your designated care team and keeping in touch with participants and their families
  • General administration tasks that may vary from time to time.
  • If needed, providing support in a one-on-one setting.
  • Carry out and promote positive routines/duties/activities in a cooperative, respectful and flexible manner, which are meaningful and purposeful to the participant.
  • Facilitate community inclusion and participation to establish and maintain relationships and interests through access to community activities, venues and services in a one-on-one or group setting
  • Support all aspects of personal care where required
  • Provide medication assistance where required
  • Provide support as required for all household management; and activities of daily living based on Participants individual needs
  • Perform light domestic support and household tasks, assistance with preparation of meals and support with assistive technology
  • Work autonomously and at times alongside other Social Plus Disability Support Workers to build the individual needs of our clients

Eligibility criteria for the roles are-

Have a wonderful attitude and approach that is client focused. 

Proven experience in providing direct support to complex clients who require a high level of care, behavior management and physical assistance to complete daily activities.

Practical knowledge working with individuals with behaviors of concern as well as experience across both physical and mental disabilities

Mandatory Requirements 
• Current First Aid Certificate 
• Current CPR (annual) 
• National Police Children Check (less than 6 months old or willingness to obtain) 
• Current Working with Children’s Check (or willingness to obtain) 
• Current Australian Driver’s License
• 1+ years of relevant experience
• Certificate III in Disability, Welfare, Individual Support or equivalent
• Flexibility and availability to work across a varying, rotating roster – 24 hour a day, 7 days a week. 
• Road registered vehicle with full comprehensive insurance.
