Qualified Pastry Chef

Passion and commitment are the driving forces behind Moama Bowling Club’s success. A stunning multi-purpose dining, entertainment and sporting venue, we are acknowledged along the Murray River as a leader in our industry. We are now looking for an enthusiastic Pastry Chef to join our team.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage day to day operations of the pastry and bakery section.
  • Prepare a wide variety of goods such as cakes, slices, cookies and pies following traditional and modern recipes.
  • Able to produce all baked goods including, but not limited to artisan breads and rolls, muffins, laminated Danish, laminated croissants and doughnuts.
  • Create and produce a la carte desserts with finesse to a fine dining standard.
  • Assist in determining how food should be presented and create decorative food displays.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • To be a team player and have a thirst for learning & creating new and exciting pastry offerings.
  • At least five years experience in a similar role.
  • Have excellent time management and communication skills.
  • Ensure compliance with all food hygiene and Health and Safety standards.
  • Operate and maintain Combi and Deck Ovens, Chocolate Tempering Machine, Ice Cream Machine, Dough Sheeter, Mixers.

Essential Skills Required:

  • 5 years experience and qualifications in pastry/bakery preparation.
  • Proven experience in high volume production, hotels and fine dining.
  • Experience in both preparation and A La Carte service of desserts.
