MADEC Employment and Training

MADEC is a not for profit organisation operating in South Australia, Victoria, Queensland, New South Wales and Tasmania.  We believe a job can change a life and we are driven to help people in financial or social disadvantage. Through employment services, vocational training, labour hire, and other services and programs, we empower people; connect with support; enhance skills and confidence; and provide opportunities to reach the goal of employment.

Have you worked in Employment Services before or are you thinking of a career in our industry? If you share our values, commitment to success, and have a genuine desire to support people into employment, then a career in employment services may be just for you!

There is no one way to help people find work and it takes a range of activities to support someone into the right job. Some of the ways we make this happen include:

  • Having regular and in-depth conversations to develop job goals and address barriers to employment,
  • Helping with job search tasks like putting together an application and interview techniques
  • Investigating different career options and sourcing activities to support career transition
  • Building relationships with employers to source vacancies and match the right people to the right job,
  • Provide support to the employer and employee during those early months to foster an ongoing and productive employment relationship.

Along with these kinds of hands-on duties, there is a high level of administrative maintenance and compliance requirements which we must meet under our government frameworks using online and in-house systems.

We don’t mind if you have not worked in employment services before, as we will train you. What you must have is a positive energy and a genuine passion to help others. Working as team player you will need to adapt easily and be willing to make a true difference. Solid administration and time management skills are essential.

A valid Working with Children and National Police Check are required.
