About the role

This is a dual role working within the Sales team providing exceptional customer service to current customers whilst building new sales in the market to achieve branch and company goals.

 Key responsibilities are listed below but not limited to  

  • Calling on existing customers and strengthening relationships with them;
  • Building and pursuing new business and developing new markets within the region;
  • To ensure outstanding customer service levels and expectations are met at all times 
  • Providing and updating the sales team with customer reports 
  • Outstanding relationship building, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Printing and keying in sales orders 
  • Next day orders are keyed in by defined cut-off time
  • Answering phone calls, pass messages or sort out issues with relevant team member
  • Assisting sales on quotations, account opening or any sales related works when they are off-site
  • Serve walk-in customers as required
  • Assist customers on Owner Pick-ups
  • General administrative duties
  • Assist our external sales representatives in processing customer queries/accounts
  • Managing Purchase orders raised from sales orders keyed for buy-in items
  • Liaise with customers regarding any service issues or complaints
  • Raise purchase orders in pronto as required
  • Manage reception as required
  • Other ad-hoc duties as required by Branch manager as part of business requirement
  • Reporting to the Sales Manager, this position is available to start immediately.

  Skills and experience

  • Ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks in a busy environment 
  • Great attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal 
  • Building industry sales experience preferred but not essential, more importantly looking for someone with a ‘can do’ attitude, coupled with the drive and determination to succeed 
  • Good computer skills
