Western Australian Specialty Alloys (WASA) is an international market leader in the production of superalloys for forging and ring rolling applications for a range of aerospace, power generation and oil & gas applications. We are a fully owned subsidiary of Precision Castparts Corporation (PCC) a US manufacturing company based in Portland, Oregon.

Airbus, Boeing, GE, Rolls-Royce, and many other leading manufacturers depend on PCC for critical airframe, engine, power generation and general industrial components. With few exceptions, every aircraft in the sky flies with parts manufactured by PCC.

About the Role

This role reports to the HR Manager located in Western Australia and provides HR support to our Albury, NSW facility. 

Key duties in this generalist HR role include but not limited to:

  • Partner with business leaders to understand organizational goals and challenges, providing strategic HR guidance and insights.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with business objectives, ensuring effective talent acquisition, performance management, and employee development.
  • Collaborate with HR team in Perth to design and deliver comprehensive HR programs and initiatives, fostering employee engagement and enhancing the employee experience.
  • Conduct workforce planning and talent management activities, identifying skill gaps, and developing succession plans to support organizational growth.
  • Provide expertise and guidance on HR policies, Labor laws, and compliance matters, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and best practices.
  • Act as a change agent, driving organizational change, and effectively managing change initiatives to optimize employee productivity and acceptance.
  • Analyse HR data and metrics to generate insights, providing data-driven recommendations to improve HR processes and support strategic decision-making.
  • Lead and participate in employee relations activities, including conflict resolution and mediation, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Work with HR team to support employee training and development initiatives, promoting continuous learning and skill enhancement.

About You

  • Must have current motor vehicle licence.
  • Certificate or diploma level qualification in HR as a minimum.
  • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or similar role, demonstrating successful HR strategy development and implementation. 
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of HR best practices, talent management, employee engagement, and labour laws.
  • Prior experience in interpreting legislation and industrial Award
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to demonstrate the ability to lead and drive change, influence decision-makers, and facilitate organizational development.
  • Experience supporting all HR lifecycle events.
  • Experience using psychometric tools.
