ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Allied Health department provides services to both inpatient and community programs.  The team consists of physiotherapists, OTs, dietitian, speech pathologist, social workers and Allied Health Assistants.   This position requires a dynamic Dietitian to work as part of the inpatient multidisciplinary team within Mercy Health which provides services to the older person in our palliative care, GEM and transitional aged care units.

  • Permanent Part Time – 32 hours per fortnight
  • To provide a client centred nutritional and dietetic service to inpatients at Mercy Health Albury
  • To improve and promote optimal nutrition and provide ongoing education to staff (both clinical and food services) and patients
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team

ABOUT YOU:

  • Bachelor or post graduate degree in nutrition and dietetics with current status of accredited practicing dietitian
  • Demonstrated experience in the specialty dietetics – at least 2 years clinical experience (preferably with older persons)
  • Ability to manage a complex and diverse caseload
  • Resourceful and innovative approach to client centred care
