ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Allied Health department provides services to both inpatient and community programs. The team consists of physiotherapists, OTs, dietitian, social workers, speech pathologist and Allied Health Assistants. This position requires a dynamic Physiotherapist to work as part of the multidisciplinary team within Mercy Health which provides services to the older person in our community therapy unit.
- Permanent part time position – 44 hours a fortnight
- Provide quality client-focused physiotherapy services to the patients, their families and others.
- Assessment and interventions for primarily Aged Care clients in a community/ outpatient setting using evidence-based practice
ABOUT YOU:
- Bachelor of degree or higher in physiotherapy with current AHPRA registration
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience working as a physiotherapist, preferably with experience in aged care field.
- High level communication skills -verbal, written
- Understanding of complex care for older people and interest in the aged population
- Ability to work independently and in a team
